Surely this parade participation must signify KJ-600 is in formal service, even if from land bases atm? Any recent info about when Fujian will be commissioned?

At least for the moment this is a prototype only and not yet an operational production aircraft!

i was about to post this. KJ-600 Engines looks different in comparison with regular WJ-6C.. air intake and overall dimension is also bigger.

But the nacelle also contains the lander gear so being larger than normal technically doesn't mean specifically no WJ-6

yeah this could be.. but air intake and overall dimension is identical of AEP-400 Which showed in the official paper. also same as the new Engine being tested on Y-8 platform..

AEP-400 is a downgraded variant of AEP-500.. last year AEP-400 entered in material selection stage.
