A Taiwanese journalist who was led by a Pakistani Air Force official wanted to do a piece about the JF-17 Thunder in front of the plane in Paris. But ended up in a scuffle with an official from CAC. Who didn't want him there. I find this strange since China doesn't use the JF-17 Thunder herself.
There wasn't a scuffle; everyone was polite. The reporter asked if this was a free space, so he could be there and the officials said that due to political difficulties, please stay on the outside of the immediate area. He can take pictures from there. The most offensive thing said was by the reporter, who said something along the lines of, "I expected greater generosity from representatives of a large and powerful nation." It was quite civil.
This clip is adorable! The Taiwanese reporter approaches the CAC guy about a possible tour of the JF-17 and the CAC guy tells him to ask Pakistan. The reporter said that the Pakistanis asked him to ask CAC. So the CAC guy says, "Oh, I see. Since we are both Chinese people, he sent you to me." LOL Then, in the end, the reporter said that the Pakistani official, who was originally open and warm, became non-receptive after being advised by the CAC officials.
