To achieve swarm technology, each drone and plane needs to acknowledge position of each other in which present on-board radar is not capable since it can only detect in a fairly narrow area in front of the plane. This is why skin radar technology is required in which it will not be strong but will be able to provide telemetry of all objects in a 360° bubble.

do you know that drone is very much controlled via satellite networks ... obviously they can communicate each other if you have satellite networks .. a few countries already have extensive satellite network (again I dont want to mention what countries) ... I am not sure whether Japan already has that network, perhaps can use American network :p

But obviously I have no doubt Japan already researching super advanced satellite network which one day ..... will be much better than everybody else ... I have no doubt in a second :p:eek: ... I just haven't heard it yet, perhaps a super secret project

Satellite link or not the drones cannot detect what is behind or beside them with conventional radar. Same with the fighter planes. Also sat-links has a time lag so it is it does not work well in a coordinated move.
Like I said all current drones are not capable of swarm formation.

Basically this is the same swarm concept that was proposed in the i3 fighter proposal by TDRI of Japan dubbed "TACOM" a New Air-Launched Multi-Purpose (Assault Scout, Electronic Warfare, Unmanned Combat Air Vehicle, Target Drone, etc...) Stealth Unmanned Air Vehicles (UAV) and had already started testing the first stage.

you may need to spend a few more hours reading and googling my friend :p I am sure you are going to do that and already spent hours doing so  ...... there are a lot of ways to do that ... have you ever heard AWACS ?... thats one of those

Child stop being ignorant and start thinking for a change.

Where do you think the closest military communication satellite would be in relationship with the AWACs plane and the fighter?
How fast would an electro-magnetic wave take from a drone to the AWACS plane and back to the drone?
Don't forget satellites are going around in orbits and would move in relationship with the actual battle zone and sometime they would have to rely telecommunication feed from one satellite to another when one moves out of line of sight or a Geo-synchronous orbit that is ten thousands Km above.
Like I said there would be a time lag.

You're so funny (as always) that you should refrain from posting in most of the topics on this forum... You should just stick to MCR forum. You fit well there.

They are not linked via satellite, they are semi- autonomous given preset instruction from the pilot much like a quarterback provides instruction to the other players in football. That is how swarm technology works.

thats old technology .. the are indeed linked via satelite network .. google more my friend .. you will learn more ;)
