Some people like to postulate extraordinary thoughts just so to stand out from the crowd or to advertise themselves. It's up to us to judge their soundness by analyzing their ideas alone, disregarding their qualifications or beautiful command of King's English.

The reason for Japanese people's increasing reluctance to get married is that their "romantic ability" is declining, a member of the Liberal Democratic Party faction in the Mie Prefectural Assembly stated here on Feb. 24.
He proposed that the prefectural government incorporate the idea of romantic ability into its measures against the declining birthrate. Ishida did not state specifically what romantic ability is.

It is pretty easy to solve the issue with elderly pensions. Raise the retirement age.

It's like they haven't learned anything from Fukushima. Or is it because they want to go out in a bang?
This what happens after many decades of lack of investment into nuclear reactor construction in Japan. For what it's worth it is perfectly reasonable to run nuclear reactors to 60 years of age with current technologies. The main issues are lack of parts for long term sustainment.
