I'm guessing that since the JL-10J mock-up doesn't have the wings folded, the real thing won't have foldable wings either?.
I don't think the T-45 has folding wings either. Carriers on training duties are much less deck space sensitive on top of the trainers being smaller planes. From the photos the JL-10J is barely wider than the J-15B folded and is also much shorter.

Yeah, the T-45 doesn't so I guess it makes sense.

It's probably just the photo angle.

When we've had aerial photos taken of the mockup before it had looked correctly proportioned.

I wouldn't read till much into it.


The purpose of these mock-ups is that overall proportions and dimensions should be correct to enable simulating basic handling on the ship, so I doubt they'd get those large scale things wrong.
