Palmer Luckey hanging out at an airshow with a measuring tape. What a clown.

Maybe it's a mistake that I deleted AndrewJ's post of this, but were you unable to see my moderator post above and infer the context??

Your pattern of behaviour like that is not as severe as AndrewJ, so I will let it slide with a 2 week ban, but next time exercise more discipline please.

I want to remind all members that these flagship threads (and this forum overall, ideally) shouldn't exist to commentate/document/archive silly and ignorant opinions and behaviours of personalities and outlets. Just because someone is being silly doesn't mean we need to be aware of it or acknowledge it; in fact it would be beneficial for us to actively ignore it, and certainly in these flagship threads it ends up distracting from a given topic and ends up as a circle-jerk and a waste of posts and pages.

Yet another thing Americans will claim China stole.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

In all seriousness, it's great to see that both of China's 5th generation aircraft utilize side stick configurations. It's a shame the Chinese flankers use center stick (can't really be helped), but it's really astounding to see the progress China has made in all aspects of aircraft design, even ergonomics. I wish the PLAAF and PLAN a more colorful livery for their aircraft but beggars can't be choosers.

Above the seat we can see the sensor mount (same as in J-20 cockpits) for tracking HMDs. Of course we should never have doubt that J-35A (or J-35) would not be compatible with HMDs, but this should just be further indication for the default suspicion.

There's no need for the first sentence. Please avoid unnecessary emotive complaining.

As for side stick configurations, they are not necessarily the be all and end all.

J-35A has a side stick, but J-35 is said to have a centre stick.
