Is it for sure that J35 can carry PL-17 in its internal weapon bays (sorry if I missed earlier posts)? And I guess it cannot carry PL-21, but J-15T can.

There was never any expectation that J-35 would carry PL-17 internally in the first place

And PL-21 is not really considered an active program. Hasn't been for a while.

Just a reminder, there has never been such a thing as the J-31.

Looks like another variant/update of J-35. Now I wonder the claim of J-35 and J-35A being in LRSP to be false because we have seen J-35A showing different horizontal stablizers, door sealing, and now J-35 having vertical stablizer of J-35A. It seems that SAC doesn't have enough number of final airframes of either model for the rehearsal.

I don't think so and even less is it a new variant or even that there are too few machines available.

I am rather convinced that we see the smooth transition from prototypes via LRIP (Batch 00xx J-35) to the first regular series J-35A (Batch 01xx) based on a few confirmed machines and if we take the known numbers as a vague basis, then the LRIP Batch alone has 12 machines, from batch 01 we only know two and it gets exciting what the first regular series J-35s of the Navy will look like.
