Is that canopy slightly open on that top picture? If so, than that meant it would NOT be a front opening like the F-35. Just my opinion.

The canopy opens forwards like the F-35 in the 350003 prototype, which is the bottom one

Canopies of FC-31 prototypes 31001 and 31003 open rearward.
31001 has a two-piece canopy. 31003 and all J-35 prototypes have a single piece canopy with internal framing.
