The payload of the J15 and short take off combination is limited. It's also quite heavy which negatively effects its MTOW aboard the 001 and 002. Basically they can't carry enough fuel and weapons.
OK I see. These are shortcomings that PLAN knew already going in to the program. From the original post, I thought he was talking about difficulties during the development that they encountered

Given the fustrations of the PLAN with their J-15 and their intention for J-35s to enter PLAN service as soon as possible, could the J-35s be adapted for STOBAR operations onboard Liaoning and Shandong?

Since J-35 is considerably smaller and lighter than J-15, so I presume that they should have easier time taking off from ski jumps?

What are these supposed J-15 “frustrations” you keep going on about.

The J-15 will complement the J-31/35 and both will used like the the F/A-18 and F-35 combo, particularly the J-15D.

I’m smelling a troll…

I am quoting said phrase from the message #1723 by getready and message #1724 by zavve, whereby both of them are referring the message #1718 by Mirabo.

I am a novice here, and my knowledge in the military field is fairly shallow. You can say that I am an outsider that just got into the circle just a few days ago. Is it wrong to ask questions?

I'm sorry to say this, but "troll" doesn't seem to be the right word.
