The latest version's canopy, ostensibly inspired by/mirroring that of the F-35, seems a step-down in terms of rear visibility, which is already poor on the F-35.
With optical sensors allowing the pilot 360 vision, this is not as big a deal as it used to be.

Way too small for side weapons bay. The MLG bay is right behind so it’s not even like they could do a Raptor like offset launch with just the head pocking out.
I was kinda hoping they might have gone with a semi-recessed plus blow off cover approach like the Russians with the Su57. But that would probably have cost them too much in terms of signatures and probably aerodynamic performance.
Will be interesting to see if the airbrake change a lot with that new cockpit configuration.
It still is a big deal, but for a multirole carrier fighter electronics space and especially fuel is probably a better trade-off.
