J-35 carrier fighter (PLAN) thread

Lethe

Captain
Well actually there is a chart that convert mass of 300kg speeding at mach 8 which is equivalent to 1.70 metric ton of TNT. Now this is just kinetic energy not counting any explosive.

For the comparison to be valid, all of the kinetic energy must be transferred to the target. This may or may not be a realistic assumption. Worst-case scenario, the impact vehicle goes in one side and out the other while transferring very little energy to the target.

(Which is why PLANAF needs a next-generation fighter ... :D)

Borrow the landlord post to say 3 points.
1, the next generation of carrier aircraft and fighter 20 are the same generation of fighters (do not think of the fighter than the 20 weak, F35 and F22 the same) ....
2, the new generation of shipborne fighter design and technical indicators have a complete five-machine features (early to reach) ....
3, the Fighter 15 series will be improved, the maiden flight time and the next generation of Shipborne fighter is similar (the ejection test does not count, that is only the verification machine)
Q: PB Boss, welcome! What kind of engine does the four-carrier aircraft use? In addition, the 15 improved model can be used 14 tons too good, or only 12.8 tons ...

A: The new generation of Shipborne fighter is using the push ratio over 10 to reach the design index ...
Ejection Type 15 verification machine with 12.8 tons of maximum thrust engine, improved fighter 15 will be 14.1 tons of maximum thrust
Q: Words with stealth plus hyper-perception have been beaten

A: There are some, after all, the same generation, there is no difference. Both the fighter 20 and the fighter XX can achieve a low intercepted radar search for 100 kilometers.
A range of probability discovery stealth fighter, 360 degree full space optical and radar integrated perception within 100 kilometers, and joint operations of networking.
PL15 PL10, as a weapon, is also unique in some of the indicators.
Q: Does the air-to-air missile have its own anti stealth function?

A: Not so exaggerated ... Or you can say that the lock is a little further away.
Q: I support the army's Falcon eagle as soon as possible the big 35 opponents worry

A: The tactics do not necessarily have to be stone cloth to the cloth. We have our own way of playing. We require weapons not to be inferior. In catching up, there is no difference in the future.
I guess the new generation of carrier fighter procurement 2XX, there are other HNA units of the model, the total amount in XXX frame .... And will not be more than the fighter 20 a lot less than the number of 15 now, but more than 20 unit price 7XXX million-U.S. knife. Why not say the renminbi because say a few
Billions of words, it's scary.

The last one could do with some interpretation.

Q: Thank you PB brother reply, ask one more question, the fourth-generation carrier-based aircraft is not somewhat like F22 ah? Can you fly this year?

A: It's probably the first flight at the end of 19. The conventional layout, the design of the combat technology indicators have supersonic cruise, super strong perception, super maneuver. The stealth performance may be the strongest fighter of our army (two indicators are not available at the early stage).
Q: It means that the stealth performance of J20 is slightly inferior to the conventional layout of the sea four generations, so that the duck wing more or less will have a certain impact on stealth performance.

A: Under the same body volume and the same technical level, the stealth performance of the duck wing and the conventional layout is a level, which is proved by technology. The stealth in certain directions that affect other places, the overall stealth performance is still in the order of magnitude. . .

Although not explicitly said, this all points to the carrier-borne fighter being a development of the FC-31.

I guess we'll see in about two years (or sooner) whether it's correct.

14 tons empty weight, more than 7 tons of oil, built-in plus external payload loading 8 tons, the maximum take-off weight of 29.5-30 tons. . . . Single seat double hair, conventional layout. Pre-use domestic engine maximum thrust of 9 tons. Late dressup new engine, the maximum thrust of 10 tons -11 tons. Have a certain super-tour ability

The magazine is loaded with 6 folding wings mid-air or 4 mid-range air-to-air anti-radiation bombs or 4 + 2 2 + 2 fighter missiles.

Opposite the magazine loaded 12 SDB small diameter glide bomb or 500 kg guided bombs or 4 new anti-radiation anti-ship 4. Can be linked to annihilate the main fuel tank 20, a weighing about 2 tons

Low infrared radiation characteristics of the whole machine Low detectability Has a strong situational awareness and networking information operations capabilities. The first flight in late 2019 or first half of 20 years. Belongs to a new generation of ejection aircraft carrier matching carrier-based aircraft

Above belongs to my own point of view

The last one could do with some interpretation.

The last point is claiming that ~200 of the J-XX will be built (his personal guess). He claims that the total number will likely be higher and be comparable to the eventual production figures of the J-20, since carrier aviation will not be the only naval branch that will purchase the J-XX (implying that the land-based PLANAF will buy it as well).

2019-2020 seems about right; the F-35C took ~2.5 years to go from approval of the design to prototype stage. However, if the earlier prediction that other PLAN branches purchasing this fighter is true, then the FC-31 could resume flight test runs much sooner.

.

This is definitely a development of the FC-31 if this guy is credible, and matches quite nicely with Huitong's claim too. ~30 ton MTOW and two 90-100 kN WS-19 engines are essentially what is expected of the carrier-based FC-31.

What does it say about the comparison with the J-15 and the price?

Not sure, but it may sound like he was saying the price of a J-15 is ~70 million RMB for a unit (~11 million USD) and that there are no more than 20 units of the J-15 built so far.

70million dollars per J15 due to only 20+ units built and imported engines.
