Indeed the photos have been far too blurry to tell anything, all we can see is a 'big red blotchy thing' on the tail fin, there very could be 八一 there

Granted the thing is real, I presume there's already an understanding they will redesigned the engines' faring and nozzle when the intended engine is ready. It seems like the right thing to do, as that's the only remaining part left which has the conventional and unstealthy design.

If its role is defend against F22 and B2 invasion, frontside stealth is enough.
I doubt it will used to strike deep inside enemy's territory and then have to worry the back.

The Chinese charactor in the center of the red star is "August 1st" and is the symbol of the PLAAF. Unusual though because the aircraft has not completed its first as of yet and it has not been turned over to the PLAAF yet. However, having the PLAAF's red star on the aircraft shows that it has very strong PLAAF and government support.

these photos are 4 small sections of shot to assembled for a full photo, I think some one (石头花 or his friend) taken the shot by cellular phone,see the link below:
now, some body found out that photo lost one section, here show the better assembled photo to compare, we can see the second photo is longer than the first one, and looks better.
