I think the last 6 or 7 conversations need to be moved to the J7/JF 17 thread :)

Nah, lets not get to picky, the J-7 is a classic, and lets not forget, it is fast and agile. Speaking of which the old Cox Spitfire arrived today in the good old US post. Talk about memories, and without the main landing gear it is gorgeous, now if I can just hide it from the bossette she comes home in about 10 minutes, quick, how bout the Top of the closet, now I know why the PLAAF has to keep secrets, Oh yeah guys, I want a J-7, think you could send it third class, parcell post, now that would be cool.

Hey, Brat, I'm surprised to see you not having moved with the rest of us to the greener pasture: The SAC F-60 zone! ;)

Guys ... I need to say "good bye !" for the next three weeks, since I'm leaving for the summer-holydays in France ! :p

Please keep an open eye for me, save all the nice images that will surely appear right after I closed the door (that usually the case, when I'm offline for some time) ... as such I will be back on 29. July ! :)

All the best, Deino

PS: Maybe one final www-access if my wife allows me this evening.

I don't see why you can't log into SDF unless your wife forbidden you to do so. Technologies today is so advanced. With an iPad, iPhone type device, you can access the internet anywhere, any time. However, enjoy your holidays!

True, but if that's the case, than an affordable attack helicopters are better suited for their insurgent attack role on the ground. Why buy just jets when the chopper could do the same for ground attack mode, plus carry a squad of infantry in the action on the objectives?

Range, payload, faster pilot training, and easier maintenance are some reasons for old and cheap jets over choppers.
