C/SiC is Carbon fiber, just better than the one in your mind.May be it's not carbon fiber. Carbon fiber would never be used for high temperature applications.
They are probably ceramic based composite (CMC) that can be in direct contact with hot gas.The black material is only the outer most layer of the nozzle, so should be insulated from the heat closer to the nozzle flame. But I have considered the possibility that they’re ceramics instead. Either way they’re not metal.
