It is great that they are paying attention to the smaller things as well. J-20 is a break from traditional Chinese fighter aircraft design in the sense that ergonomics was given heavy consideration. The pilots played a major role in the design of cockpit instrumentation.

Looks like they intentionally made it independent of the facility on the other side of the runway.
