Dumb question here...doesn't DSI negate the need for radar blockers, since you wouldn't be able to see the compressor blades?Officially they will never say anything for years even after service. Luckily we may see it once they are in service. Indirectly we can be pretty sure they do.

One thing to note, the blocker is both for infrared and radar signature reduction as stated in the summary section even though the title says intrared only because infrared research is the purpose of the paper. The summary also refers to F-119's implementation.
