Officially they will never say anything for years even after service. Luckily we may see it once they are in service. Indirectly we can be pretty sure they do.

One thing to note, the blocker is both for infrared and radar signature reduction as stated in the summary section even though the title says intrared only because infrared research is the purpose of the paper. The summary also refers to F-119's implementation.

Dumb question here...doesn't DSI negate the need for radar blockers, since you wouldn't be able to see the compressor blades?

Or is it for the turbine blades for rear-aspect stealth?

The workers are apparently from AVIC, and the photos/video were from last year's parade.

Btw, a slightly relevant rumour for us watchers: 约克 said that apparently more promotional material were made for the equipment shown in the parade, but Zhang Youxia decided they revealed too much and stopped them from being released. Now that he is no longer in charge, we might see more details about the parade stuff.

DSI is for intake, that is where the air goes into the engine at the front of the plane. It's in the name: Diverterless supersonic inlet.

This is for the other end, where the exhaust exits the engine at the back of the plane.
