I must admit, based on the latest image showing J-20A no. 2052 with its WS-15 nozzles much clearer than before I'm questioning, if the previously seen image showing J-20 prototype no. 2012 with two different engines was indeed an alleged WS-15 prototype or a WS-10B3 TVC nozzle? The differences are simply too many and the details are too different.

The 2012 has those articulated nozzles like the J-10B TVC variant. But the 'ring' between the petals and the engine body is the same.

Could it be a WS-15 with TVC being tested but not adopted (yet)?

The problem is, that for this image too many different theories were discussed: some claimed it would be legit and a TVC-testbed using a WS-10B3 variant similar to the J-10B no. 1034, other said, it would be a single WS-15, maybe an earlier prototype and others stated the image would be a ps-job or even CG but @huitong still uses it on his site.

It seems the "no. 2012" is fake.

You are on a roll when it comes to being fooled by fake photos lol. That said, the J-20 did test the WS-10 TVC nozzle at one point in time but we don't have real photos of the aircraft.

Interesting that the inlets don't have the hexagonal ducts. The geometry of the inlet looks somewhat different as well.
It is just too blurry to tell. Those hexagonal opening may be in the same yellow paint at some stage of the production. They have very small holes, so from a long distance, in most angles and adding motion blurs, it is impossible to see them.

Look at 2032, only in this high defination closeup, can one see it.

The workmanship is really excellent.

Maybe it's the best all of the world!
