Also Deino, I don't want to criticize you, but on Twitter you have credibility in regards to PLA watching matters -- posting direct rumours without first verifying things can end up diluting your authority and your credibility.

I know that your posts when they quote and acknowledge things as rumours is partly meant to try to crowdsource more information and opinions, but the problem is that by posting rumours so often without keeping your "credibility powder" dry, it can end up creating more confusion and damaging your own reputation.



IMO sometimes when there is new photos or news on SDF that is not yet verifiable or lacking in context, we should maybe wait a week or two before sharing it elsewhere like on Twitter or Reddit etc, because sometimes sharing information before it is well cooked and able to be framed in the right way can create more problems for us.

By the way, would be interesting to know which unit in the STC this could be?! Confirmed are now the 4th and 5th ABs, the 54th just recently IMO almost confirmed and the 131st is rumoured to be under conversion since April 2023! So a new not mentioned so far one?

Well, as a new member I would be very much careful with such bolt and in fact strange unfounded claims if you do not want to be rated a clown or just a troll.

In fact for the 003 I agree, since the Fujian hasn't even started sea trial and no-one claims it to be ready anytime sooner, but the J-20A, why shouldn't it be ready?

And finally, your comment "when facing West's challenge" is a clear sign, that you are from a certain corner within the US, who think they MUST challenge China, they almost have a right or duty to do this and even more since China does not stick back, they expect a confrontation in 2027! ... take this as an advice, no politics.

After all, the first J-20A with two WS-15s only flew in June 2023, under a year ago. It is unlikely they would have it production ready for service in that time.

For PLA watching standards, yes.

J-20A serial 2052 flying with WS-15s in June/July 2023 is not something which is particularly up for debate. I don't think there's anyone here who casts questions as to whether that had happened or not, nor challenges the photos and videos we've had of 2052 (at minimum).

No, but we don't need them.

We've never needed high definition pictures to confirm things, we have relied on quality and angle of imagery along with corroborating indicators.


I advise going back to this thread and the old thread preceding this one to look at the images and videos and discussions back then.

131st Red Eagles. The meme is that they announced prematurely that they will get J-20 but they weren’t due for some time. Instead they will be recipient of first J-20A.
