It is a lot easier for a human pilot to take in positive G's than negative G's. Like 3x as much.

I considered at one point if it wouldn't be a good idea to put the pilot inside a capsule which rotates to ensure you always face positive G's. Kind of like what is done on the Soyuz space capsule with the rotating seat but more complicated.

The RAM on an aircraft doesn't have to be painted on all the time. You can just leave primer on, put a protective layer on the primer, then only paint RAM on during alert.

Likewise, the F-35 in comparison to the F-22 has embedded RAM in its body. You can have two layers of RAM, one embedded into the airframe, and the other painted on.

NYET KOMRAD! Since almost all high G ACM is visual, your little idea would be deadly, as you would lose your situational awareness if you were rolling around inside the airframe like an attitude gyro.... would be fine for your passenger, but the man on the stick needs to keep his perspective! in fact losing perspective is likely the most common cause of fatal fighter aircraft accidents

What about using a helmet sight like the J-35 helmet which allows all around vision? The only problem that I think might happen is motion sickness.

Which reminds me, any further reports on helmet sight for the J-20?

Oh really, care to quote a source??? Fighter pilots have to be in outstanding physical condition to endure the high G's that are an everyday part of their life, particularly F-22 pilots, they also have a G vest to help address the extremely high G capability of the Raptor....

Most folks wear the lower G-suit these days....

I saw a USAF training video, more than 20 years back. One big surprise was how well the female pilots fared 7.5+ Gs compared to their male counterparts. What they found was the distance the heart has to pump blood to the brain is longer when you are taller. Longer necks in particular. In the video a 6 ft. muscular male recruit was constantly failing beyond 7.5 Gs while the female recruit held-on for longer periods. They concluded that very fit, thick, strong males around 5 ft. 8 inches would be ideal. To squeeze as hard as possible during high Gs.

Now what methodology China uses when selecting pilots is unknown. Germany (and I think also the Soviets) had a very drastic approach. They just throw the new recruit without any training or G suits in to the certifuge and see who has the highest tolerance. It seems some people are just better at it. Now a dip$h!t like me pukes all over everyone when the vehicle I am travelling takes 1.5 G turn.

So that’s why Tom Cruise was such a good pilot in Top Gun. :p

Was wondering if China has displayed similar tech as in F-35, the structural fibre mat. ?

I don't know how Chinese carbon fibre compares to that of the F-35, as the F-35 material is top-secret, but China has a very highly developed structural carbon fibre industry, focusing on aerospace, automotive, bicycles, etc, etc.....

In fact most high end carbon bicycle frames are sub-contracted out to manufacturers in China or Taiwan, so yes, they have a very excellent grasp of structural carbon fibre, the J-20 appears to have large sections of structural carbon fibre skin, underlying that? its possible many structural members of the airframe are indeed carbon fibre???

I would add that the Chinese Meta Material which can be seen coating the leading and trailing edges, intake inlets, etc, (the light gray material on the edges) is likely what you are asking about, it is indeed highly effective in absorbing radio waves...

you will note similar material on the F-35 and F-22 in the same areas....
