Except it’s the wrong kind of refueling technology. The J-20 has a probe in the nose, not a boom receptacle on its spine.
I feel like PLAAF would want boom refueling eventually though. F-35 has both I believe
Given that their entire fleet right now uses probe and drogue it will be quite expensive and time consuming to shift over to booms. For the J-20 to adopt a boom receptacle would probably require some extensive redesign of its interior.
Guess there is a static display after all.

Depends on user and model. USAF model has the receptical. Export, Navy and Marines use the probe.
Standardizing on probe is logically the best option. Yes it takes longer to top off but given the small number of tankers in the PLA it allows more use from them.
The one on the right side looks like FC-31 because:
- No protrusion of the wrapping, (no canard)
- The arrow shaped marking at the intake followed by a round logo. This is visible on both v1 and v2 F31.
Simply it is one. There is no reason to doubt that.
