Since there is no prototype flying with a number 2020 and this is most obviously one of the earlier 201x-prototypes.

Please define "proportionate".

Proportionate, is the number of tankers which would be adequate enough for China to defend it's trade routes. It would mean that China would need to have military reach over large area. Tankers, like any other piece of machinary, requires maintenance. Hence China would require a "proportionate" number of Tankers, in order have a sustained flow military operations.

Btw, protection of trade routes isn't a suitable task of air force.
