Its still unclear after watching the video what they are claiming the J-20 will do, that the Flanker could not replicate, particularly the SU-35 with OVT???

maybe you could give me a rough translation of whats being said around the red J-20 and blue aggressor merge??

but I will say the J-20 track doesn't follow a smooth transition into a firing solution in my very Humble, but Honest Opinion??

I'm not questioning the J-20s agility or maneuverability, just saying it difficult to follow, now the Sr. Officer, debriefing the Jr. Officer, that's typical fighter pilot hand motions, which appear smooth and possible, it is possible to turn inside the other guy, but you're going to be "bleeding airspeed and energy",,, not that that's bad, but you better get him on the first pass, and pray he doesn't have a sharp winger...

People are paying too much mind to that picture. J-20 wasn't even mentioned in the video, which discussed a Flanker vs. Flanker exercise. They basically just said, "After flight exercise, we analyze the data here and try to not make any same mistakes the next time we fly." There was absolutely nothing about how any J-20 vs. Flanker exercise went much less discussing the J-20's strategy for dog-fighting Flankers.

thank you, that's what I was thinking, so the J-20 image was used anecdotally to represent the "good guys" and the blue aircraft to represent the "bogey"!

I watched video and am very confused why the J-20 was on the TV screen as well. The video is talking about PLAAF training. nowhere in the video is any new fighter model, much less specifically the J-20, mentioned.

I see. So they artificially changed the look of a fighter on the monitor so that it would be easier to distinguish who’s who?

My best guess is that they did discuss some J-20 vs Flanker stuff but the reporter was told to leave before discussion due to sensitive content or was told afterwards that they thought about it and don't want the discussion to be aired. Nonetheless, a little screen glimpse still made its way to our eyes.

LOL No. Blue and red is easily good enough to distinguish them from each other. On the next shot, they show both Flankers, just different color.
