Compared to previous videos, the J-20 either relaxed its AOA limiter or finally turned on its afterburners. In the past, the J-20 seemed relatively sluggish in maneuver, whereas here, it's a more vigorous aircraft. Hence suspicion that it's been sped up (and on F-16.net someone chewed me up since one of the video compliations WAS sped up)
To be honest, the fairly limited variety of footage of J-20s conducting any sort of meaningful maneuvers at all in the air, when we remember that most footage is taken over CAC and Chengdu, should not be much of a surprise.
If we had footage of it conducting maneuvers at Yanliang or even better at Dingxing, then those would be sites where the actual upper limit of J-20s flight performance would be tested and conducted.
In other words, if anyone's trying to use the little footage of J-20 maneuvers we have, to try and assess what its upper limit of kinematics/maneuvrability is, well you're probably going to come away with a fairly inaccurate estimate.
I'm not sure if that part of the footage may or may not be sped up -- I couldn't see any indications if it was but it would be hard to tell if it was tbh -- but looking at the limited range of currently available J-20 flight footage (the overwhelming amount being over Chengdu and about a minute's worth over Zhuhai airshow last year) to try and eyeball what its maneuvrability may be and to form a consensus off that is a bit silly.
