It was taken at CFTE supposedly...

The J-15A acting as chase plane is probably because that J-15A is one of the aircraft which happened to be testing at CFTE.
From my observation, it is almost certain that it was taken at CFTE if one look at the:
1. License plate of the BMW at the end of the video. The starting Chinese character rules out Chendu which should be 川 (Sichuan, Chengdu). The character is much blocky with more strokes, 陕 (Shaanxi, Yanlian) is more likely.
2. The face of the person in the local wedding party. Very typical northerner.
3. Clear blue sky in winter. Rare in Sichuan. Very common in north-west if there is no smog.
4. The house in the background has a typical roof top (one side slope) in Shaanxi, I have never seen it elsewhere in China.

I was thinking the exact same.

Looks to me the two aircraft are from too different clips taken quite some time apart from one another, long enough for the sky to grow darker and cloudier.

The two aircraft might well be on their own schedule doing their own things.

The two seems to be filmed in the same time.

At time 00:55 seconds, the J-20 passed a red ribbon close to the camera, then at 01:18 time the J-15 passed the same red ribbon. The ribbon were in the same angle and distance to the camera meaning same time and same position.

The change of sky (pure blue to hazy blue) is only because of the smoke from firecrackers of the wedding party in the foreground of the camera. You can see that (firecracker smoke) right after the camera tilted down after J-15 passed.

It is also due to the smoke that I could not identify the Chinese character in the license plate.

The sky was hazy but you can see that it was also cloudier. The firecrackers only just started when the camera started to pan down toward the front of the house with the ball of smoke from the firecrackers just starting to expand but still within the front of house compound.

Notice how the video was cut at 1:10 and was followed on with another clip of the J-15.
