Aside from those pesky satellite images, that is!(...) So, regardless how other state teases, or how we in SD begs, Chinese government will only let outsiders see when she feels the need.

The dragons!Beautiful! I can't help but to think about "lineage".
Here is a side by side comparison :

One can clearly see the evolution of the design, very much like how the F-22 was evoluted offspring of F-15.
In Dr. Song's paper from more than ten years ago the air intakes of what was to become the J-20 were still below the fuselage and not yet beside it.Beautiful! I can't help but to think about "lineage".

IIRC it was in the description. But I remember thinking at the time that the J-20 would have a larger fuselage lift and maybe a lower radar reflection from the side ( something I know little about ) than the aircraft as described by Dr. Song.Really ??? Do have an image of that configuration ??

If the satellite passes overhead at the right time and the weather is merciful and the Chinese is willing to let out the birds, yes.Aside from those pesky satellite images, that is!
I'm gonna disagree with you here Ultra, I do think it bears a closer resemblance to the Mig 1:42 and 1:44 although that might not be popular to say here? but, it has a lifting body fuse, and distant coupled canards, as I have said it is uniquely Chinese, but the only DNA traces I see are??? well???? I ain't gonna say it, but definitely not F-22.Beautiful! I can't help but to think about "lineage".

J-20's design actually has been around much longer, despite J-10 came out earlier.Beautiful! I can't help but to think about "lineage".
