So Deino was wrong about them painting 2101?
Depends on when that picture was taken.
Released today doesn't necessarily mean taken today.

This is from US Army's 'Visual Aircraft Recognition' manual released last month. A link to the PDF is .
I'm utterly speechless. Was this a Freudian slip?
Did they hire Axe and Majumdar as consultants because they couldn't afford Deino?
I want my tax dollars back.

This is a truly amazing document. It contains many aircraft you will only find in a museum ( Yak-38 anyone? ). The drawings are mostly terribly distorted. I think the responsible minister should be fired. If this is possible any "mistake" is possible. This is from US Army's 'Visual Aircraft Recognition' manual released last month. A link to the PDF is .

If that is the explanation Ashton Carter deserves to be fired.I bet this report was compiled by an intern.
That is an unbelievable mistake.
Its not as simple as someone inserting the wrong image, the WEFT description seems to be all mixed up also.
The F35 doesn't have twin engines, but the description doesn't really fit the J20 well either.
I am utterly confused as to what exactly happened.
On a side note, that identification manual seems to almost entirely omitted Chinese combat aircraft, with the only exception being the ancient Q5.
Seems very odd also.
