Does that mean PLAAF will get this aircraft a year earlier than suggested six years ago by general what's his name?

I think it means the air force may get the first few LRIP planes in 2016, but IOC won't occur till 2018 when the first true regiment is ready.

I am of the opinion that the first batch of J-20s will be used for training 4th and 4++ gen. fighter pilots on anti-stealth tactics. J-20s will probably enter service in significant numbers (hundreds) by the mid-2020s.
