H stands for 滑. STOBAR version.

I know what it stands for. I have no idea why they wanted two different "H" suffixes for two different planes in two different roles. J-11BH (海) and now this J-15DH (滑).

Maybe they retired the old "H" designation when they transferred them to PLAAF?

Thanks, hard to keep up with all the lesser visible details for us amateurs.

So currently there are:
J-15
J-15S (two seater)
J-15T( CATOBAR)
J-15D (EW)
J-15TD (EW CATOBAR)

did i miss anything? Is there a J-15TS?

The TD is not confirmed yet.

Pardon, the DH is confirmed, but where is the TD?
She said: "DH", you can see the "T" on the landing gear. "H" in Chinese is 海 or Naval. All J-15's are naval or H's, but no one said it. We should put this way: J-15DTH. In the video, a J-15DTH landed on and took off from CV-17.

But then the designation must be wrong since so far we haven‘t seen a catapult-capable J-15D.
