If I remember correctly, the red-yellow strip is for fighter jets that participated in the air parade of China's 70th anniversary in 2019. As it is a mark of honour in parade participation, I don't think they want to change it.I like how the carrier aviators kept their red-yellow stripes even when switching to low visible markings xD. Some personality there.
