Odd that they'd build new airframes with an outdated radar?Still has the pitot so I think its still the same old aircraft.

Can we tell whether the radar is AESA or not from the radome?
Presumably starting from batch 05 are the new catobar ver (guesses ofc) we've seen earlier this year? Also I m a bit confused as to why they seem to be building these non-catapult J-15s in relatively small batches of 24 each..?
each batch is 12 not 24
Nope ... Batch 01 was only 10, Batch 02 had 14 and the number of Batch 03 is not known, but if we take the number of confirmed J-15s and fill the missing ones (for example we know 60-64 and 66-67 and then again 69, so it is highly likely there is also a 65 and 68) we reach a minimum number of 16 within Batch 03. Maybe - when we include even the known 7x-numbers we have even 4 more and reach the number of 20. Huitong claims, no. 74 - so far the highest number spotted - is in fact cn. 0401.
ok so average of batch 1 and batch 2 is 12 thats what I was thinking I did remember I counted them at one point long ago
so batch 3 and batch 4 are slightly larger but no where near 24
is later batches of J15 still using Russian engine ?
