Perhaps even more useful since the canards will allow the aircraft to remain maneuverable with a high payload.
Just look at the Su-34.

As far as I know this is the first very clear close-up image of the CATOBAR-capable J-15T; IMO most likely the prototype no. 571.

The officer said that the ski-jump platform is no longer used. These two planes have quit service, just now for display.
And somebody noticed the nozzle of J-15T is the same as Taihang engine's.

At 2:16 of the video, we can see two catapults.

I must admit I did not see a frame showing that one's nozzle since it always covered?!

But it seems as if there are already (maybe?) two of them.

So does this mean china is developing its own version of Top gun with respect to the pilot training? Can we hire Tom Cruise?
Jokes aside, I do think that's what's the next logical step for the PLAN/PLAAF's development.

There certainly is a need to provide currently experienced pilots in the PLA a graduate-level instructor training along the lines of the the USAF Weapons School or the USN's TOPGUN program. Graduates of Weapons School and TOPGUN (known as patchwearers) return to their units and serve as subject matter experts advising the top brass on how to solve strategic problems, especially when it comes to force integration.

I could definitely see how both the PLAN and PLAAF could benefit from a similar sort of school house.
