GREAT! I am excited to see them fly off of the Liaoning!
A theory: The J-15S was never intented to be used by itself, but only serve as a developmental basis for the J-15D.
After all, we have never seen any J-15S operating from the Liaoning, or even non-proto/non-yellow planes.
Highly doubtful. A twin-seat fighter brings tremendous tactical flexibility to a carrier air wing and allows the J-15 to carry out strike missions without the need for buddy targeting.
