My biggest bet for Egypt to push forward and seal the deal is:
- The joint exercise with China and seeing the system of systems China offers in action.
- May 7th and the performance of Pakistan against India, especially if there's a group that favor western products and trying to apprehend the deal -- the group doesn't need to be paid to do so.
Nevertheless, as I stated before, they'll try their best to make it secret until they can't, to lessen US reaction.

I wonder why would a country in Russian sphere of influence agree to buy Chinese fighters. My impression was, Russia strictly protects former soviet countries from Chinese influence especially in the military realm.
