However, comparing it to the J-10's cockpit (see image below), there are still some improvements. Although the J-10 also has a one-up-three-down layout, the multi-function displays on the lower left and lower center are black and white, while only the lower right one is in color. In addition, the multi-function displays on the J-10CE are much larger, with fewer spare instruments, making it look more concise and neat, which also indicates that the reliability of the J-10CE's avionics system is much higher.

Sanders also discovered a device in the J-10CE cockpit, suspected to be a visual tracking and positioning device for the J-10CE's targeting display helmet (as shown in the picture below). This also explains why the infrared LED markings of the J-10CE's helmet display are on the side of the helmet.
