Military expert Zhang Xuefeng said that the J-10 series fighters have a good base design, adopt a canard aerodynamic layout, and have very good maneuverability.
He pointed out that the J-10 series fighters have three major advantages. First of all, many measures have been taken to reduce the radar reflection area. The canopy has been coated, a DSI intake has been adopted, and the installed radar antenna is also tilted. Through comprehensive improvements, its radar reflection area can be reduced by an order of magnitude.
Secondly, the avionics system is very advanced. AESA radar is used, and the detection range of China's active phased array radar has been constantly improving, and its anti-interference ability is very strong. It can reliably attack targets in medium-range air combat and achieve enemy detection first.
"In addition, the missiles it carries are also very advanced, so it can achieve detection before enemy , tracking before enemy, and shooting before enemy." Zhang Xuefeng said.

Zhang Xuefeng pointed out that the Rafale fighter is very well designed, the aerodynamic layout is also very advanced, and the maneuverability is very high, but its disadvantage is that its nose space is relatively small, so the radar it equipped with is relatively small, the number of T/R components installed is relatively small, and the detection distance is relatively short. In addition, the missiles carried by the Rafale do not have a range advantage.
“So in this kind of confrontation, even in a 1v1 confrontation, the Rafale will suffer a bit.” Zhang Xuefeng said.
