How come the fishers so calm witnessing a jetplane crushed on river bank not more than hundreds of meters away from them?

The footage shows the aftermath where they basically turn their attention back to fishing. In the clip you can already see the chutes reach the water. The plane has been at a stop for some time at this point already.

How long does it take from ejecting a parachute to their landing on water? probably no more than 10 sec.

I would be very surprised that those fisher guys remain so calm like that after seeing a jet fighters crushed right in front of their noses 10 secs ago. Normally in cases like that most/all of them may just yell and take photos with cell phones.

That's what I want to say.

Yeah it could have been 10 seconds or so. I bet there were plenty of folks taking photos with phones and talking about it. The two fisherman do seem more concerned about whether the event would scare away fish lol.

Depends on the height the pilots ejected at. But given how closely the pilots landed and the standard practice of PLAAF pilots to try to steer the plane to land at a safe location, they probably ejected very low.

However, it should be noted that the plane itself would still have been flying at several hundred knots at the point of ejection, so would have gone some distance by the time the pilots touched down.

I’m not a keen angler myself, but I remember something about it best to fish at the bend of a river if possible, so it would most likely be that the pilots ejected after directing the plane to fly down the length of the river to crash into it, and they just happen to have landed at the bend, so the fishermen would have only seen the chutes come down while the plane itself would have went down a good distance down the river past the bend and therefore well out of sight of them.

As for the plane being so intact after crash landing, well it’s very uncommon but does happen form time to time, some recent examples I can remember.

There was also a famous case where Israel managed to capture a mostly intact Syrian jet after it crash landed in the desert after the pilot ejected. But it was a while back and the details are a little fuzzy now.

J-10Cs are still being produced with Taihang engines.
Have you heard any more on how many with new engines does China Air Force already operate? I'm scouring the internet and the only reports I see are that the 5th batch production is ongoing and some aircraft are in testing phase, although its always hard with these google translated articles and their credibility. And also i thought they already have about 40 of them in active service? This is the article that I saw that is recent:
