^Someone was recently claiming in this thread the J-10 is a Lavi clone?
^That's not what I was asking. Whatever. Moving on.
Look up the J-9 with canards. J-10 is a natural progression of J-9, and it does incorporate Israeli tech but the DESIGN (with canards) precedes Lavi by decade or more. Not a clone, but I think it's safe to say it was partly "inspired" by the Lavi. And there's no shame in accepting help/copying when one's domestic industries are weak. Everyone has to start somewhere and everyone has done it before. As long as you eventually progress to something greater than that.
But there the similarities - at least any reasonable argument as being a Lavi clone - end:

Hm. But did you not say the first batch 6 plane photo was documented in November 2020? Or was that just a rumor, without a photo? A now this is the first time we actually have a photo?
0512 was photographed in May 2020. So 0619 in early July is pretty much the same cadence. Accounting for a month long New years work hiatus at the start of the year, I would say there are still high chances this 6th batch corresponds to a production pace of 40 something J10C per year. More precisely, it may correspond to 4 airframes per month, without one month worth of production. but of course, it's ludicrous to attempt such precise estimates based on so little info.
