I made a mistake. It should’ve been J-10B. Rumor has it that The J-10B participated in the 4th gen division instead of 4.5th division.
Interesting news, that raises some more interesting questions?
WHY ... ? Are there any issues? Maybe related to the engines? Do they wait for a certain item or even occasion?
We know these WS-10B-powered J-10Cs are in production since mid-2019 but we haven't seen a single operational one in a PLAAF brigade yet?
I find it hard to believe the reason would be to focus manufacturing resources on producing J-20 at higher rates like it is insinuated. Unless J-35 is really ready to replace J-10C as the most capable low cost fighter in PLAAF as well as serve the PLANAF.

If it's true, makes one wonder if this is because J-10C is ready to be replaced with a better block. Either a new block or significant enough upgrades such as a very new engine.
Why is this a hint for a better block? So you suggest they are holding back brand-new factory fresh J-10Cs only since a "better variant" miraculously popped up from the production line? So the PLAAF refuses the latest J-10Cs?
Come on, this is IMO only a hint for some issues with the deliveries, be that they are waiting for a certain item (remember at SAC similar large stocks of WS-10A powered J-11B were not delivered due to engine issues) or a certain event? At some Pakistani forums they are already supposed to be for Pakistan.
Is there any good reason to take this source seriously?
