That the J-10A performance against the JAS-39 Gripen (which the post did not deign to provide the serial number as to make the lives of people who are not familiar with how the Chinese translate English sounding names easier) in the subsequent 2017-2018 air exercise with Thailand had increased and also lays the theory that the Thai pilots did not push the Gripen to its full capability during both exercises in order to not fully disclose NATO training doctrines and/or technical capabilities.
Doesn’t mean much given that the PLAAF pilots would also be forbidden from pushing their planes to the limit for the same reasons. If anything, the Chinese military has a lot more to lose intelligence wise.
