Hmm ... interesting observation, however that "V"-shaped support was always there ...

Hmm....for this picture of the single seat, the V-shape support seems to be missing, which is how I remember it. (I can't find one with a better angle). Could it be the earlier version of single seat J-10 is without the V-shape support?

The J-10 is really so much common these days that there's imply nothing to hide - esp. in such an "unimportant area like the intake !

I don't have access to my photo library to check, but I think that "v" shaped support has always been there. You just cannot see it in that picture because of the angle the plane is at.

That V joint would have been the primary designed structural support for the intake, but evidently proved insufficient, so they added to supports.

RAM paint on the rims of the air intake and cockpit on one of the J-10B?

To my eyes there's nothing special ... and one of them has a green intake-cover ! No RAM as far as I consider ...

agreed with Deino. I checked on scramble recently and they haven't listed any regiment outside of FTTC regiment either.
