Now, this is the retaliation people were waiting from Iran. Let's see how Israel and the US reacts . Israel actually has been waiting and trying to draw Iran to fight directly instead of using proxies. Seems they have gotten somehow a part of what they want though it's still not a very significant attack but it's still something. The ball is now in Israel and the US part to see if they will retaliate and target Iran more directly or indirectly militarily from now on. If they do then this will turn into a more direct confrontation instead of proxies like before. Let's see how things play out.

I have to say, Iran has gone some way toward reestablishing its credibility. That looks like an MLRS strike, not ballistic missiles.

I think a big reason these are evading BMD is that the Iranians are using the modern missiles with the terminal stage motors. The ones from the April strikes were from previous generations.
It’s a large barrage of ballistic missiles, no MLRS system that I know of has enough range

The thing is even a hypersonic ballistic missile will take several minutes to fly from Iran to Israel. So they can just take their aircraft airborne and wait until the strike passes before they land.

minutes is cutting it close unless the planes are constantly fueled and preped and pilots on the standby, they can tow it away for some distance perhaps, assuming their ground crew are prepared.

I think their best chance of protecting those planes was to relocate the moment they got intel of possible attack, maybe even relocate them to friendly airbase outside of Israel
