Iran's First Carrier Expected To Be Launched In 2023
Iran Work is progressing on the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' first aircraft carrier (We should ignore the infamous fake aircraft carrier target barge). The 240 meter long drone carrier is based on a large merchant ship hull. Two of the vessels are expected to be built, the Shahid Mahdavi and Shahid Bagheri.
Based on analysis of open sources I believe the first one to be the Shahid-Mahdav (110-3) although it is also being reported in Iranian social media sources as Shahid Bagheri. The two ships are likely similar or identical so this detail may be less important at this point.
Like the Iranian Navy's forward base ship Makran, which is currently transiting across the Pacific, the conversion is being done at the ISOICO shipyard west of Bandar Abbas.
The conversion adds a large cantilever flight deck on the port (left) side. It is currently unclear whether an overhang will be added to the starboard (right) side also. The fact that the superstructure spans the original deck means that a traditional aircraft carrier layout is not possible. The angles on the added light deck are also not traditional. Possibly this hints at a flight deck running across from port to starboard ahead of the superstructure.
As a drone carrier the ship is expected to carry both helicopters and runway-launched drones.
Information suggests that the ship was originally Perarin (IMO: 9209350), a large container ship. Perarin was built in 2000 and operated under an Iranian flag. Specifications for Perarin are a carrying capacity of 3,280 TEU, length overall (LOA) of 240.2 meters and beam of 32.2 meters. Her reported draught was 7.8 meters.

The angles of the deck may hint at a runway from port to starboard.
Iran's First Drone Carrier Gets Ski Jump
The ski-jump arrangement of Iran's first drone carrier is now confirmed in photos. The carrier, to be named Shahid Bagheri, has an unique flight deck layout.
The ship was built in 2000 as a Container Ship. She was until 2021 operating under an Iranian flag as PERARIN (IMO: 9209350). As built, her length was 240.2 meter, beam 32.2 meters and draft 7.8 meters. In drone carrier configuration her beam will be extended on the port side, and her draft will likely be less.
The flight deck and ski-jump is angled towards the starboard (right) side of the ship. This is a workaround to the pre-existing superstructure which is the full width of the ship. It also shows that drones will be able to land as well as take-off. Exactly which models of drone will be carried is unclear, Iran has so many, but possibly flying wing copies of the American RQ-170.

Iran plans to build carrier with unprecendented capabilities
May 5, 2023, 12:38 PM
TEHRAN, May 05 (MNA) – The commander of the IRGC Navy announced plans to build a "unique" aircraft carrier in the future through the efforts of local Iranian experts.
"One of our most important current plans is the construction of an aircraft carrier. This ship will be unique in the world," he said, adding that the planned carrier will come out with unprecendented capabilities.
"The carrier we talk about will have significant capablities. In addition to carrying aircraft, this ship will have the capablity to carry a large number of missile launchers, which will make the ship unique," the IRGC navy commander further explained.
