the antenna bands on the iphone 6 looks like masking tape... yes I like the 5/5S design much more.
I agree with you. I went to a store today. The new design of the iPhone 6 as well as The plus is some kind looking cheap. The 5's too small for me. But I ordered the 6 plus already. The store does not have 64 G in stock.

NEW YORK – Apple says it sold more than 10 million iPhone 6 and 6 Plus models, a record for a new model, in the three days after the phones went on sale.

A year ago, Apple Inc. said it had sold 9 million of the then-new iPhone 5C and 5S models.

The iPhone is available in the U.S., Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore and the U.K. It will go on sale in 20 more countries on Sept. 26 and others by the end of the year.

CEO Tim Cook says demand for the phones has exceeded the company's expectations. Besides larger screens, the new phones offer faster performance and a wireless chip for making credit card payments. The phones start at $199 with a two-year service contact.

In "other news"...what caught many HK people's attention about iPhone 6 is that the market is either smelling the burnt or the bubble is seconds from bursting.

1. Mainland official, when interviewed at a trade fair, said that the final hurdle for iPhone 6 release in China is "almost ready" which, if one familiar with China's bureaucracy, that can be soon, and when that happens, the speculation bubble is set to pop.

BEIJING (Reuters) - Apple Inc's iPhone 6 is in the final stages of review for approval, with results due shortly, a top Chinese government regulator said in an interview published on Tuesday by Tencent.

The status of the iPhone 6 in China has been a mystery since Apple unveiled the device this month without releasing a launch date for the world's largest smartphone market.

The delay has led to widespread speculation the iPhone has run into difficulty securing regulatory approval from China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), with some reports suggesting the launch could be delayed until 2015.

"The iPhone 6 has entered the final stage of the approval process, now it's just a matter of time," MIIT chief Miao Wei told Tencent in an exclusive interview in Beijing. "Netizens, please wait patiently."

Miao declined to offer a time frame for completion of the review, saying only that he expected a result "very soon".

The ministry could not be immediately reached for comment Tuesday.

2. For the last 3 days, the buying prices for all respective iPhone 6 models are taking a plunge, no more over 50% markup, and those who get their unit by signing contract with telecom service providers are set to lose money to sell their unit (contract's forfeiture penalty now won't be able to be covered by whatever gain made at the re-selling market).

Probably because of this, I can get my hands on one today via iReserve...and in any case, people can finally get back to their senses.

iPhones have not been any better than Android phones for several years by now. If someone is locked in, or just used to, Apple's ecosystem then they should consider the new iPhone but I think it's an excessively expensive ecosystem trap. I have my share of complaints about Android phones but haven't looked into nor tried any Windows phones so far, do wonder how they compare.
