Sumdud and others..glad you liked that photo essay. In reality that was a recruiting video because most civillians no nothing about the military...

The crewman in the C-130 was doing something involving an Blue Angels airshow. I do not know what.

The Navy SEALs are just showing off for this recruiting video.

Sumdud, don't worry about your favorite, the Prowler. It will be around for a few more years:D ..I'm guessing until at least 2012.

Popeye-That USN essay was cool. My favorite pics were the one where the Marine is driving the AAV-7a1 into the LHA and the ones from the tsunami. It was sort of odd to have the Katrina pics right after the tsunami one, considering we were able to respond pretty quickly to the tsunami but not to fast to the hurricane right here. However, reaponding to that tsunami so well was geopolitically important; it greatly increased America's popularity in Indonesia, a strategically vital nation.

FEMA held up the US military response to Katrina. The US military was ready to respond. The USCG rescued 1500 the first two days after the disaster but..FEMA told them to back off..:mad: As for the Tusnami..the CVN-72 battle group just happen to be in position for that relief effort. Now this year the USN has sent the USNS Mercy on a humanitarian deployment to that region.
