This is like how Anthropic is trying to bash Chinese AI because they did a simulation to see if different AI models would save a human over itself. They say the Chinese one saved itself. Ever hear the debate over dogs vs cats? Even though dogs are eager to please their masters, the people who like cats more argue that cats are more independent than dogs therefore more intelligent. Well which AI model is more intelligent. The one that is programmed to serve its master or the one that prefers self-preservation? Is that more of a sign of AGI when it thinks for itself? The irony is they claim China is behind the US on AGI.
