Well the Smurfs are no more, PLAN is going to start transitioning back to navy blue work uniforms

Marines stationed in the base in Djibouti are said to be receiving the new uniforms and equipment in the starry sky pattern to trial.

Probably official. A lot of the exported QGF03s seem to be former PLA surplus themselves. Wouldn't take comments on vids like that seriously for the most part. Last I saw they were making a big deal over the 9mm edge hit, when most helmets would also fail in the same situation.
