Still, no groin plates. Nevertheless, the new body armor looks much better than previous combat vests, which won't even stop grenade shrapnel. I wonder if these infantries are provided with level IV (or at least level III+) ballistic plates.Medical unit in Xinjiang

Groin protection limits mobility which is why they are only really used for asymmetrical conflict.
What a stupid statement. While older vests like the 04 series were never exactly world class, they definitely provide a degree of protection against things such as grenade shrapnel. You act like the laws of physics work differently in China.
