That was 2 years ago and given how it didn’t seem to leave the show floor.
A night-vision device shown IDEX 2025. I have no information regarding specs.

This system will probably have many of the same issues as the U.S. IVAS. The computer and battery system on the back of the helmet and the bulk on the front will make it awkwardly balanced and the weight is going to be an issue on the neck. When IVAS changed hands from Microsoft to Anduril this year the CEO/Founder of the later gave an interview as to what they wanted to do with it and it sounds like they are looking to try and blend the system into the helmet rather than what has been done so far. Think more Robocop than the current mount on system.
The thermal sight can be wirelessly connected, almost certainly used with goggles. The goggles are traditional off-axis reflection design, not waveguideView attachment 146354
one of the problems with AR and VR is system lag which can be an issue if you are trying to feed the image from one device to another wirelessly. You also have to have a system in place to take and try and blend the images from the two devices in real time so as to keep the wearer from experiencing disorientation.
It’s also a potential problem point for a conflict with EW. Lots of signals can be a drone magnet. Each signal has to be secure so as to prevent a competent foe from accessing the feed and short range so as not to give away the location for triangulation via SigInt.

I find the biggest problems for these types of systems is the nauseating effect that has been reported with IVAS.

Because the image frame rate is too low, almost all AR/VR devices have this problem, so as the digital NV. Unless the frame rate is increased to at less 90 frames, but this also means an increase in power consumption and heat.
Is the FOV still an issue? I know low FOV also causes nausea.

Is there any reason why wouldnt they run a cable down to a battery strapped onto the body instead of mounting it on a helmet? (ah nevermind I just realize you already answer my question its for balancing out the weight in the front) I firmly believe a system like that will be the future just as of right now the tech simply isnt there for it to become a reality but we are very close.

They might use their next generation batteries reportedly china has created a Battery that can live for 50 years that doesn't need a recharge.

If that turns out to be true then this Augmentation system of theirs should be no problem when it comes to power consumption .

Microsoft used the hololens VR which is very much the equivalence making people wear a virtual reality headset that displays images in real time much like the Apple Vision.

I believe this augmentation system is different from IVAS, seeing those glasses that can be seen through it without any sort of magnification it is possible that framework will be UI based display. Similar to the MARS

So in that way Nausea cannot be caused Unlike the Hololens VR (IVAS) which has a magnification to it, that is the main culprit behind nausea and considering they have it as a flip down option instead of tightly fitting it onto the user which can contribute to nausea when the Headset might be uncomfortable and not sturdy
