90% burns almost certainly lead to death. There is an extremely high chance that in the coming days he will die

Better to give him a painless death now than to suffer like this
Maybe they want to rule out any mysterious activities and is hoping to save him for his account. Speculation is rife in Indian forums about internal sabotage or foreign interference. This survivor could end a lot of speculations and help better understand the crash.

I know burn cases with 80,90% deep internal burns. Absolutely little chance of survival especially if the burns have affected internal organs. What's bad is the victim (if conscious) asking for water.

Black box from the crashed chopper has been retrieved. According to CGTN.

Gotta love that little dig at India later in that article:
According to Indian news reports, there have been roughly 49 military aircraft crashes in India between 2013 and 2021, an average of 5.4 per year, with six crashes already this year and three pilots killed in the last five crashes.

Over the years, Indian military aircraft crashes have occurred frequently. A report provided by the Indian Ministry of Defense to the Indian Parliament in 2018 explains that the main causes of Indian military aircraft crashes are human error, mechanical failure, design flaws, and weather.

Interestingly. The Indian Ministry of Defense list didn't list bad maintenance, and abuse as some of the main causes. Those are more likely to cause crashes compared to mechanical failure, design flaws, and weather. Maybe they'll blame the 'Russian junk' helicopter again? The warning signs have been there for years. Will the death of an Army Chief finally wake them up?

If this is true then at this point death is a mercy to this guy
There was some footage posted earlier of one of the corpses burnt to charcoal. Yeesh.

All this goes to my point of Indians not being able to keep a secret for the minutest fractions of a second. We poke fun at it, but any would-be "ally" of India has to think very carefully about sharing anything significant with them.
