So over $190M per jet, France must have some good negotiators.
This is much cheaper than the original one, 36 for 8.7bn, and later in 2025 , they did 24 RaFM(marine variant) for 7.6bn
previous Indian Rafale deal was over $240m
Yep yep, i guess even with inflation over the years and cost of materials going up, doing a big order gets a discount.
Is this going to IAF or IN?
What's the update on the carrier elevator issue?
This is for IAF
And no update on elevator issue, Last i heard/read
1)was they gonna 'tilt' the planes when going up
2) And read more recently that they will keep the RafM on the deck at all times so no need for elevator (idk if that is advised for operations on the sea etc)

There was a news a while ago saying that France will make a special model with wing tips folding function so that Indian doesn't need to modify the elevator. Don't know if it is true though.

Could be true, I didnt see that one myself. And idk how much this feature might change the flight profile of the plane tho.

I'll believe it when I see it. All on deck at all times... How do they do maintenance? And they expect the planes to last more than 5 years? I guess India crashes enough planes it doesn't matter.

Hi,
land when will they get the deliveries of these new batch of F5, coz France is manufacturing around
25 per annum & im sure 10 planes for their own Navy or airforce then comes the countries above india
before they sign up Greece Serbia UAE probably Ukrainian will get too before India so according to this
Indian timeline will start around 2032 by the time their ACC lift problem will be solved or may be they might
have another ACC in line coming out or a refurbishment of the old one.
thank you
